Dulux Ancient Artefact 20YY 43/083 is a muted golden-ochre with earthy brown undertones, rather like sun-baked clay softened by dust. It has enough depth to hold its own on full walls, particularly in dining rooms, studies, or a hallway with good natural light. In a north-facing room it can look more subdued and brown, while warm evening lamps bring out its honeyed, mineral quality. Pair it with chalky warm whites, aged oak, linen and natural stone for a grounded look, or use dark green and brushed brass to give it more contrast.
